Who comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘cancer’?  We all know someone who either has it today, or has died from it, or who has been successfully treated for it.  45,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year in Switzerland.

The Race for Life (in Bern on Sunday 10th September) is a cycling event which raises money to support cancer patients and research into cancer treatments.

I will be taking part, to support the superb work of cancer carers, cancer researchers, oncologists, oncology nurses, and all the amazing people who work in this difficult but crucial area of medicine.

…and for me personally I will be thinking of my Mum & Dad as I pedal.
